Sarah J. Conrad is a physiotherapist in Edmonton with an interest in pelvic floor physiotherapy, orthopedics, and clinical pilates. She holds a BSc.PT from the University of Alberta and has completed postgraduate training in pelvic health physiotherapy, orthopedics, and Gunn IMS.
Sarah has gained international experience in the Netherlands and Peru, focusing on integrating pelvic physiotherapy care into diverse healthcare systems. She recently earned her MSc in Rehabilitation Sciences, with research published in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology on patient-reported outcome measures for pelvic organ prolapse.
At Alberta Health Services, Sarah holds dual clinical roles: she serves as the lead for the Provincial Pelvic Health Physiotherapy program and provides physical therapy services at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women. Her work spans the full spectrum of pelvic health, from pelvic organ prolapse treatment to post-surgical rehabilitation. Her research interests are expanding to include oncology pelvic rehabilitation and cancer physiotherapy, where she has been contributing to the Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic at the University of Alberta.
Sarah is excited to join the Thrive Therapy team, bringing her expertise in pelvic floor physiotherapy and cancer rehabilitation physiotherapy to Edmonton patients.
